• Butterfly themed wedding in Chianti

    30 April 2020

Dear brides to be, if you are romantic and dreamer, I’m sure you’ll like this wedding in Chianti area in Tuscany, it was inspired by the butterflies, a symbol of sweetness and magnificence at the same time. The butterflies are compared to humans because they can reach several stages of life, just like us. They are caterpillars at the beginning, than they turn in chrisalys and they become a wonderful butterfly at last. How much beauty in such a small creature! The life of a butterfly equals the love between two people, it borns, grows and blossoms on the wedding day. The love takes flight when you are Mr and Mrs!

Let me introduce you Sara and Leonardo, an amazing Italian couple who lived in Germany. They came back to get married in Tuscany and it is the story of their butterfly themed wedding in Chianti!

THE CATHOLIC WEDDING CEREMONY IN CHIANTI

The Catholic wedding ceremony took place in a stunning Church , dated in the thirteenth century. It was decorated respecting the main theme of the wedding: butterflies and light pink palette. The flowers arrangements were so beautiful with pink roses and white lisianthus! We adorned the benches with the minibouquet made of pink roses and gypsophila, tied with the satin ribbon. The white carpet was set down the aisle and a lot of white lanterns were put on either side.

All the decorations were inspired by the butterflies and the main colors. The fans and the Mass booklets were branded with the names of the bride and groom… never leave anything to chance! The bridal bouquet was made of pink roses and white lisianthus refined with butterfly-shaped details. An amazing harpist made the atmosphere romantic and emotional.

THE WEDDING PHOTO SHOOTING AMONG TUSCAN HILLS

After the catholic ceremony, Sara and Leonardo left for the wedding photo shooting with their Tuscan photographers. As you can see below, Chianti area offers many different landscapes in a few kilometers. You can find the cornfields, the vineyards, the hills and the typical cypresses. The newlyweds travelled on board of a luxury wedding car, fit for a princess and his prince!

THE WEDDING RECEPTION IN VILLA IN CHIANTI

While my sweet couple, Sara and Leonardo, were doing the wedding photo shoot among the Tuscan hills, the guests waited in the villa in the heart of Chianti Classico, sipping cool drinks and apertifs in the garden, enjoying the fresh air. It was a pleasure for me to get the details done too. The seating plan and the menù were framed in two big frames at the entrance and each table matched the design. I set the butterfly-shaped decorations on each glass too. The centerpieces were cages with pink roses, white lisianthus and gypsophila. The villa was illuminated by a pleasant colored light and the atmosphere was magical.

THE WEDDING CAKE, THE FIRST DANCE AND THE PARTY

After the wedding dinner, all the guests celebrated the bride and the groom with the wedding sparklers, accompanying them to the swimming pool area where everything was ready for the cutting of the cake. It was a 5-tier American wedding cake decorated with pink and lavender butterflies made in sugar paste. I gave one balloon each guest and all the invites left the balloons at a time just as Sara and Leonardo cut the cake. It was a very exciting moment!

A lovely and romantic couple like Sara and Leonardo required a special First Dance with a cascade of rose petals. After the cheers of the family and the friends, everybody danced the night away in the ballroom of the villa.

I’ll always remember Sara and Leonardo because of their contagious joy and the passion for details. It was a really customized wedding, it told their story, it represented what they have lived together and all the guests felt it in their hearts. Thank you, Sara and Leonardo, for bring me into that, I wish you a colorful and spectacular life together!
